Savannah Guthrie is dialed into her young daughter\u2019s life.<\/p>\n
The \u201cToday\u201d show co-anchor shared the phone usage contract she wrote for her 11-year-old daughter, Vale, during Wednesday\u2019s episode of \u201cToday with Jena & Friends.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cMy daughter got a little personal iCloud address and I actually drafted a contract for her to sign,\u201d Guthrie said.<\/p>\n Savannah Guthrie made her daughter sign a phone usage contract. TODAY with Jenna & Friends \/ YouTube<\/p>\n \u201cI know that contract,\u201d co-host Jenna Bush Hager recalled.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt was basically like \u2018I know that mommy and daddy love me more than anything in the world,\u2019\u201d Guthrie explained. \u201c\u2018I know that mommy and daddy can read my texts. I know I wouldn\u2019t put in a text anything I don\u2019t want grandma and grandpa to see [or] that I wouldn\u2019t want to see on the front page of the New York Times.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Vale only has an iCloud address and not an iPhone, Guthrie clarified.<\/p>\n The mother of two insisted that even though Vale \u201cknows that I reserve the right to look at her texts,\u201d she confessed that she doesn\u2019t monitor them.<\/p>\n \u201cI trust her,\u201d Guthrie added.<\/p>\n Guthrie discussed the contract with \u201cToday\u201d co-host Jenna Bush Hager on Wednesday. TODAY with Jenna & Friends \/ YouTube<\/p>\n Guthrie confessed that she doesn\u2019t look at her daughter\u2019s iCloud messages even though she has access. Instagram \/ @savannahguthrie<\/p>\n The 53-year-old broadcaster added that she believed the word \u201csnooping\u201d had a negative connotation and would rather call it \u201clooking\u201d or \u201cparenting.\u201d<\/p>\n Guthrie publicly hoped that her kids would never have a phone but confessed that she might have a \u201cdifferent\u201d approach after they turn 16.<\/p>\n The \u201cToday\u201d co-anchor, who joined NBC\u2019s morning program in June 2011, shares two kids with her husband, Michael Feldman.<\/p>\n Hager confessed that she was inspired to use a similar contract for her 9-year-old daughter, Poppy Louise Hager, when she turns 10.<\/p>\n Hager claimed she will use a similar phone usage contract for her 9-year-old, Poppy.
