{"id":164640,"date":"2025-08-21T20:08:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T20:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/164640\/"},"modified":"2025-08-21T20:08:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T20:08:11","slug":"career-criminal-with-31-prior-arrests-slashes-nyc-cafe-worker-cops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/164640\/","title":{"rendered":"Career criminal with 31 prior arrests slashes NYC cafe worker: cops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A career criminal with nearly three dozen prior arrests \u2014 including attempted murder \u2014 slashed a Manhattan cafe worker in the neck when the employee tried to give him the boot Wednesday afternoon, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wagner Louis, 32 \u2013 who cops say has 31 prior arrests \u2013 was \u201cacting disorderly\u201d inside Moka &amp; Co., a Yemeni coffee shop on West 34th Street near Seventh Avenue, just after 3 p.m. when the 50-year-old worker asked him to leave, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Louis then flew into a rage, pulling out a metal object and slashing the employee on the neck, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The wounded staffer was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition but had stabilized by Thursday, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.38005391;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"814\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/moka-co-area-142-109880729.jpg\" alt=\"Moka &amp; Co&#10;&#10;Area of 142 W 34th St., New York, NY 10001 \" class=\"wp-image-36894521\"  \/>Wagner Louis, 32, allegedly slashed a worker who tried to kick him out of Midtown\u2019s Moka &amp; Co. coffee shop for disorderly behavior, cops said.
