Manchester United resume their Premier League campaign with a first away match of the season against Fulham.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sunday\u2019s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal<\/a> was not the start to the 2025\/26 season that Ruben Amorim<\/a> would have dreamed up for Manchester United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now there is added pressure on Amorim to pick up points at Craven Cottage when United face Fulham in the second match of the season.<\/p>\n

There were huge positives about United\u2019s performance<\/a>, including impressive debuts from Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo<\/a>, but Amorim will want to see goals on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

There are five important decisions for United\u2019s head coach to make.<\/p>\n

Against Arsenal, Andre Onana<\/a> was left out of the matchday squad despite Amorim explaining that he had recovered from his injury.<\/p>\n

Amorim fiercely defended Altay Bayindir<\/a>, who started against the Gunners but failed to deal with Arsenal\u2019s corner for Riccardo Calafiori\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

Heading to Fulham, Amorim will have to decide who starts between the sticks at Craven Cottage. <\/p>\n

Amorim has explained that Onana and Bayindir will compete for a starting spot<\/a>, but it is a big decision to make given United\u2019s need to get points on the board.<\/p>\n

Should Kobbie Mainoo start?<\/p>\n

Wayne Rooney questioned Kobbie Mainoo\u2019s exclusion<\/a> against Arsenal, after the Carrington graduate didn\u2019t come off the bench against the Gunners.<\/p>\n

Amorim\u2019s biggest criticism is his role for Mainoo<\/a>, with fans wanting to see the 20-year-old pick up more minutes than he is currently getting.<\/p>\n

It was Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes who started against Arsenal last week, and now Amorim must decide whether Kobbie Mainoo<\/a> is deserving of a starting spot against Fulham.<\/p>\n

Amad Diallo or Diogo Dalot?<\/p>\n

Amad Diallo was superb in pre-season<\/a> for United, but was left out of the starting XI against Arsenal in the opening Premier League match.<\/p>\n

Amorim\u2019s decision to instead start Diogo Dalot<\/a> raised a few eyebrows, with many perceiving it to be a more defensive-minded setup.<\/p>\n

United will hope to dominate against Fulham, so once again Amorim must decide between starting either Amad Diallo<\/a> or Dalot at right wing-back.<\/p>\n

Did Mason Mount do enough to keep his spot?<\/p>\n

Rio Ferdinand raved about Mason Mount\u2019s performance<\/a> against Arsenal, with United\u2019s No.7 starring alongside debutants Cunha and Mbeumo.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old could be set for a key role under Amorim this season if he stays fit, but it\u2019s hard to see where he will fit in the starting XI.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Sesko set for his first start<\/p>\n

Following his \u00a366m move from RB Leipzig, Benjamin Sesko<\/a> was named as a substitute against Arsenal and came on for a 25-minute cameo in the second half.<\/p>\n

United fans were impressed by Sesko\u2019s debut<\/a>, but the 6ft 5in Slovenian striker will hope for more minutes against Fulham \u2013 and hopefully, his first start.<\/p>\n

Amorim could unleash his new-look attack against Fulham, with Cunha and Mbeumo either side of Sesko.<\/p>\n
