Today, Taiwan-based<b> electronics manufacturing giant Wistron announced plans to establish two AI supercomputing facilities at the AllianceTexas development in Fort Worth.\u00a0<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wistron plans to will invest $761 million in the project, which includes renovations of two existing industrial buildings within Hillwood\u2019s 27,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use development in north Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p>The Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership (Fort Worth EDP) said the project will create more than 800 full-time jobs, while firmly positioning Fort Worth as \u201ca key player in the future of advanced technology manufacturing and the broader reshoring movement, bringing critical manufacturing, logistics and innovation back to the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The optimal choice\u2019<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-278404\" class=\"img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Jackie-Lai-SVP-of-global-manufacturing-for-American-and-European-operations-at-Wistron.-Photo-Linked.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"263\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-278404\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wistron\u2019s Jackie Lai<\/p>\n<p>Jackie Lai, SVP of global manufacturing for American and European operations at Wistron, said that as his company expands its AI-related product capabilities, \u201cestablishing manufacturing operations in the United States is a critical step in meeting the needs of our customers and advancing our global vision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a thorough evaluation of key factors such as talent availability, robust logistics infrastructure, and a vibrant industrial ecosystem, Fort Worth, Texas, emerged as the optimal choice,\u201d Lai added in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker lauded the news.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s Go-Time in Fort Worth, and this investment from Wistron, which will create significant job growth and economic impact in our city, is just more proof. More than $580 million has been allocated at this site for land acquisition, factory purchase, real property improvements, and business personal property.<\/p>\n<p>The second site, at 14601 Mobility Way, will feature renovations to a 766,994-square-foot building, with more than $181 million allocated for land acquisition, factory purchase, and real property improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Both sites are slated to be operational by early 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Making Fort Worth \u2018a leader in AI\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat an amazing moment for the booming Fort Worth economy,\u201d Fort Worth EDP President and CEO Robert Allen said. \u201cWistron looked at sites all over the country. In the end, the company decided that Fort Worth is the place to be. And these two new locations not only will create jobs but also help make Fort Worth a leader in AI. The future of manufacturing is going to be built right here in Fort Worth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ross Perot, Jr., chairman of Hillwood and the Perot Companies, noted that AllianceTexas is \u201crapidly emerging as North Texas\u2019 next-generation manufacturing and data-services corridor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWistron\u2019s decision arrives at an opportune moment when reshoring is redefining America\u2019s industrial future, with AllianceTexas at the forefront of this movement,\u201d Perot added in a statement. \u201cWith a skilled and growing workforce available and backed by strong support from the city of Fort Worth, Denton County, the State of Texas, and our private-sector partners, Wistron will find the support and resources it needs to succeed. We look forward to the economic impact and innovation this project will bring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trey Fricke, Lee &amp; Associates commercial real estate managing principal,\u00a0called the news \u201can important moment in the industry, as a top global manufacturer in today\u2019s leading sector is establishing operations in what many consider the \u2018gold standard\u2019 of premier industrial park, positioned for decades of success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>AI is fueling other new North Texas projects<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s news follows other recent headlines about big facilities coming to North Texas to meet the growing needs of AI.<\/p>\n<p>Just this week, U.K.-based Yondr Group said it had acquired a 163-acre site in Lancaster to develop a <a href=\"https:\/\/dallasinnovates.com\/u-k-based-yondr-group-to-develop-hyperscale-data-center-south-of-dallas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hyperscale data center campus<\/a> with the capacity to accommodate 550MW critical IT load, marking\u00a0a \u201cmilestone\u201d in its U.S. expansion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In February, Plano-based Aligned Data Centers said it planned to open a new data center on a 27-acre site in Mansfield <a href=\"https:\/\/dallasinnovates.com\/aligned-data-centers-expands-dfw-footprint-as-it-races-to-serve-ai-cloud-workloads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">as it races to serve AI\/cloud workloads<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That same month, Dallas-based Provident Data Centers and McLean, Virginia-based PowerHouse Data Centers announced the co-development of a <a href=\"https:\/\/dallasinnovates.com\/dallas-provident-data-centers-virginias-powerhouse-partner-on-hyperscale-north-texas-campus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">768-acre hyperscale data center campus<\/a> with a 1.8GW switchyard just outside Grand Prairie in Ellis County.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss what\u2019s next.
