Opening Day of the New York State Fair 2025<\/p>\n

Geddes, N.Y. \u2014 More than 58,000 people attended the New York State Fair<\/a> on Thursday, enjoying a sunny day that featured Agriculture Career Day and Student Youth Day.<\/p>\n

Attendance for day two was 58,372, according to fair officials. That\u2019s about 4,700 more people than last year\u2019s second day.<\/p>\n

The fair\u2019s concert lineup also drew large crowds. Rock band Cheap Trick brought in about 13,000 people to Chevy Court, while pop group AJR attracted around 24,000 to Suburban Park.<\/p>\n

Friday is Pride Day at the fair. The day kicks off with the Progress Flag Raising at 9:30 a.m. outside the Main Gate. <\/p>\n

Highlights include Lily Rose at 1 p.m. (Chevy Court), the Pride Day Ceremony (Empire Theater) at 2 p.m., the Drag Us to The Fair: Amber Skyy Drag Show (Empire Theater) at 3 p.m., Neon Trees (Chevy Court) at 6 p.m., and The Lady Gaga Tribute (Chevy Court) at 9 p.m. <\/p>\n

With sunny weather<\/a> expected heading into the weekend, officials anticipate even bigger crowds in the days ahead.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
