From\u00a0Anime NYC<\/strong> Thursday night,\u00a0Netflix<\/strong> debuted new trailers and images for upcoming renewed seasons from its growing adult-targeted anime slate, including\u00a0Tom Clancy\u2019s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch,\u00a0Devil May Cry,\u00a0Blue Eye Samurai,\u00a0Sakamoto Days and\u00a0Record of Ragnarok.<\/p>\n

Netflix has become a go-to destination for adult animation, featuring a slate of acclaimed series like Emmy-nominated Arcane and Love, Death + Robots, fan favorites Castlevania and Castlevania: Nocturne, and the upcoming Magic: the Gathering, Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 and more.<\/p>\n

Tom Clancy\u2019s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch<\/strong><\/p>\n

Netflix revealed the official teaser, launch date of October 14<\/strong> and casting of Kirby Howell-Baptiste<\/strong> as the voice of agent Zinnia McKenna for Tom Clancy\u2019s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch<\/strong>. A trailer for the project was previewed at Annecy earlier this summer.<\/p>\n

Splinter Cell is an animated show based on the award-winning series of espionage video games from Ubisoft. It features Sam Fisher (voiced by Liev Schreiber), a black ops agent working for the U.S. government division \u201cThe Fourth Echelon.\u201d<\/p>\n

The series is directed by Guillaume Dousse and F\u00e9licien Colmet-Daage, with\u00a0John Wick scribe Derek Kolstad as head writer and executive producer. Exec producers also include Helene Juguet, Hugo Revon & Gerard Guillemot for Ubisoft Film & Television. Animation studios are Sun Creature and Fost.<\/p>\n

Devil May Cry<\/strong><\/p>\n

A thrilling new teaser and 2026 launch year for\u00a0Season 2<\/strong> of\u00a0Devil May Cry<\/strong><\/a> unleashed more demon-bashing madness \u2026 and Dante\u2019s twin brother!<\/p>\n

Sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante (voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch), an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.<\/p>\n

Season 1 of the video game adaptation debuted at #4 on the global top 10 list with 5.3 million views in just three days, reaching he top 10 in 87 countries and with a launch score of 95% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. The series is showrun by Adi Shankar, with animation production by Studio Mir.<\/p>\n

Blue Eye Samurai<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fans also got an early peek at Season 2\u00a0<\/strong>of the critically acclaimed\u00a0Blue Eye Samurai<\/strong><\/a>, which swept the 2024 Annie Awards and took home the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program as well as three Individual Achievement in Animation juried awards. New images and a first-look featurette were revealed.<\/p>\n

Blue Eye Samurai is an adult animated action-drama set in Edo-period Japan. The story centers on Mizu (voiced by Maya Erskine), a mixed-race master of the sword who lives a life in disguise seeking the deliverance of revenge. The voice cast also features George Takei, Masi Oka, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Brenda Song, Darren Barnet, Randall Park and Kenneth Branagh.<\/p>\n

The series is created, written and executive produced by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green. As announced in April alongside his overall deal with Netflix, Ultraman: Rising co-director John Aoshima will join the crew as a guest director for Season 2. Erwin Stoff is executive producer. Jane Wu is supervising director and producer. Blue Spirit is the animation studio.<\/p>\n

Sakamoto Days<\/strong><\/p>\n

The madcap retired hitman adventure of\u00a0Sakamoto Days<\/strong><\/a> will return in\u00a0Part 2<\/strong>, previewed with a mid-season trailer and slew of new images during the Netflix showcase. Season 1 Part 1 of\u00a0Sakamoto Days\u00a0spent 10 consecutive weeks on the Netflix Global Top 10 TV (non-English) list; Part 2 began rolling out on July 14.<\/p>\n

Once the greatest hitman of all, Taro Sakamoto (voiced by Matthew Mercer) retired in the name of love. But when his past catches up, he must fight to protect his beloved family.<\/p>\n

Also featuring the voices of Dallas Liu, Rosalie Chiang, Rosie Okumura, Xolo Maridue\u00f1a, Aleks Le, Vinnie Hacker and Jacob Bertrand, the anime series is directed by Masaki Watanabe (Battle Spirits, Code Geass) with series composition by Taku Kishimoto.
