Tipoff\u00a0on ION is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT, with Ron Thulin and Fran Harris on the call and Tiffany Bias-Patmon reporting. The Wings\u2019 annual \u201cCelebrate Arlington\u201d game presented by Arlington CVB will include a business showcase on the concourse, recognitions of local community leaders and a digital scavenger hunt.<\/p>\n<p>Paige Bueckers grabbed all the headlines in the Wings\u2019 last outing, scoring a WNBA rookie record 44 points. She became the first player in league history to score over 40 points while shooting over 80 percent from the field. Despite the historic showing, Dallas lost 81-80 on a Kelsey Plum buzzer beater to be eliminated from playoff contention and fall to 9-27 on the year. Seattle (18-18) is coming off a 94-88 win at the Chicago Sky on Tuesday. Skylar Diggins led the way with 24 points.<\/p>\n<p>The Wings will look to level the season series with the Storm after winning the most recent meeting, 87-63, in Seattle on July 22. The Storm took the first two showdowns of the season \u2013 79-71 in Dallas on May 19, and 83-77 in Seattle on June 3. Over the last seven games, Siegrist has averaged 15.7 points per game, shooting over 58-percent from the field. Siegrist set a career high with 23 points against the Aces on Sunday. Prior to her injury, Siegrist was averaging 9.4 points per game while shooting .433 from the field.<\/p>\n<p><b>Wings Sign Amy Okonkwo \u2026<\/b> The Dallas Wings signed 6-2 forward Amy Okonkwo to a seven-day hardship contract, the team announced on Thursday. The two-time FIBA AfroBasket MVP (2023, 2025) will be available for Friday\u2019s game against the Seattle Storm. Okonkwo is from Fontana, Calif., and played collegiately at the University of Southern California (2014-2015) and nearby Fort Worth\u2019s Texas Christian University (TCU) (2016-2019), where she earned Big 12 Sixth Player of the Year honors in 2018. Okonkwo is also a two-time Olympian, playing with the Nigerian women\u2019s national team in the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Olympics. Okonkwo played professionally for Bourges in France during the 2024-25 season, averaging 14.2 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting nearly 48 percent from three.
