Speaking with Variety this year, Liev revealed that 16-year-old Kai never actually sat down and told her parents that she\u2019s trans, but had a \u201cprofound\u201d moment when she requested to change her pronouns. \u201cKai was always who Kai is,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/ellendurney\/liev-schreiber-supports-trans-daughter-kai\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">actor said<\/a>. \u201cIt didn\u2019t feel like that big of a deal to me only because Kai had been so feminine for so long.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>As you may know, Kai is already making a name for herself in the modeling world, and it\u2019s safe to say that her parents are loving watching her shine. \u201cKai is such a fighter,\u201d Liev told <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/scene\/columns\/liev-schreiber-trans-daughter-kai-1236390985\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Variety<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s important that she goes, \u2018Hey, I am trans,\u2019 and, \u2018Look at me.\u2019\u201d Naomi is always supporting Kai on Instagram, too, and last year, she posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DDiWqeNPiOo\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">sweet tribute<\/a> to her daughter on her 16th birthday, writing: \u201cYour sweetness is pure and I\u2019m the luckiest mommy in the world and that world is SO lucky that you are here!!
