Millie Bobby Brown is a mom. The Stranger Things actress, 21, and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 23, announced via an Instagram post<\/a> that they adopted a baby girl.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,\u201d Brown wrote on Instagram. She concluded the post with, \u201cAnd then there were 3.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown, who will star in the final season of Stranger Things<\/a>\u00a0when it drops on Netflix beginning Nov. 26, married Bongiovi \u2014 son of singer Jon Bon Jovi \u2014 in May 2024 in a private ceremony before having a bigger reception in Italy months later. In a March 2025 episode of the SmartLess podcast<\/a> with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, she spoke about wanting children.<\/p>\n

“I’m still really young, but my mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19, and you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” she said at the time.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me and … my grandmother is \u2014 she was a huge part of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown also spoke about adopting a child on the podcast, though she did not say she had any immediate plans.<\/p>\n

“I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting,” she explained. “For me, like, my home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we stand by, Jake and I \u2014 our energy in the house is like, ‘The door is always open.'”<\/p>\n

Since “Stranger Things” began production nine years ago, the actress has starred in a number of other films, including for Netflix. She spoke about the importance of family at the premiere of her Netflix film “Damsel” last year, where she was accompanied by her husband Bongiovi and his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just so lucky that they\u2019re here tonight and it just means so much to me,\u201d Brown told the Associated Press<\/a> at the time. \u201cFamily is everything and just to have my second family here means everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though we don\u2019t know any specific details about Brown and Bongiovi\u2019s adoption, they are on the young side for adopting a child. According to the National Council for Adoption<\/a>, parents who chose infant adoption averaged 35 years old, with 94% married at the time of adoption, and generally had the highest levels of education and household income.<\/p>\n
