Dallas Art Watch is your guide to the best art to catch each season. This fall, we\u2019re looking forward to acclaimed Texas photographer Laura Wilson\u2019s newest exhibition, London-based painter Pam Evelyn\u2019s first major U.S. exhibition, celebrated artist Antony Gormley\u2019s first major museum survey, and more exciting exhibits.<\/p>\n<p>Roaming Mexico: Laura Wilson<\/p>\n<p>Meadows Museum<\/p>\n<p>September 14 through January 11, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Dallas-based documentary photographer Laura Wilson has been capturing the best of the modern West for four decades. Most recently, she was highlighted in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.papercitymag.com\/arts\/richard-avedon-amon-carter-museum-fort-worth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Richard Avedon at the Carter<\/a> in Fort Worth, which celebrated the 40th anniversary of In the American West. It featured\u00a0archival photographs taken by\u00a0Wilson, who accompanied Avedon on his travels.<\/p>\n<p>This fall, nearly 90 photographs by Wilson that offer a deeply personal and expansive view of life across Mexico will be on display at Dallas\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/meadowsmuseumdallas.org\/exhibitions\/roaming-mexico-laura-wilson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Meadows Museum.<\/a> Roaming Mexico\u00a0brings together over 30 years of images \u201cdocumenting Wilson\u2019s sojourns across Mexico and areas just beyond its northern border. (Courtesy)<br \/>\nPam Evelyn<\/p>\n<p>Dallas Contemporary<\/p>\n<p>November 7 through March 15, 2026<\/p>\n<p>London-based painter Pam Evelyn is presenting her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallascontemporary.org\/pam-evelyn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">first major U.S. institutional exhibition<\/a> at Dallas Contemporary this fall. (Courtesy the artist and Lehmann Maupin)<br \/>\nGroundbreakers: Post-War Japan and Korea from the DMA Collection<\/p>\n<p>The Crow Museum of Asian Art at UT Dallas<\/p>\n<p>September 6 through July 26, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Bringing together artists who \u201cplayed with materiality, space, and performance in postwar Japan and Korea after the 1950s,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/crowmuseum.org\/exhibition\/groundbreakers-post-war-japan-and-korea-from-the-dma-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Groundbreakers<\/a>\u00a0is presented in collaboration with the Dallas Museum of Art. Art forms of painting, sound, and installation are meant to be participatory for the viewer.
