FBI agents raided the DC-area home of President Trump\u2019s former national security adviser John Bolton<\/a> on Friday morning in a high-profile national security probe, The Post can exclusively reveal.<\/p>\n

Federal agents went to Bolton\u2019s house in Bethesda, Md., from 7 a.m. in an investigation ordered by FBI Director Kash Patel<\/a>, a Trump administration official told The Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cNO ONE is above the law\u2026 @FBI agents on mission,\u201d he said in a cryptic post to X shortly after the raid began.<\/p>\n

The probe \u2014 which is said to involve classified documents \u2014 was first launched years ago, but the Biden administration shut it down \u201cfor political reasons,\u201d according to a senior US official.<\/p>\n

Bolton\u2019s X account blasted out a message at 7:32 a.m. criticizing Trump\u2019s approach to Russia\u2019s war on Ukraine as FBI agents were inside his home. It was unclear whether it was a scheduled post.<\/p>\n

\u201cRussia has not changed its goal:\u00a0drag Ukraine into a new Russian Empire. Moscow has demanded that Ukraine cede territory it already holds and the remainder of Donetsk, which it has been unable to conquer.\u00a0 Zelensky will never do so.\u00a0 Meanwhile, meetings will continue because Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize, but I don\u2019t see these talks making any progress.<\/p>\n

Bolton has previously been accused of including classified information in his 2020 book, \u201cThe Room Where It Happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

President Trump<\/a> fought to quash its publication over its inclusion of national secrets \u2014 saying Bolton broke an NDA signed as a condition of his employment \u2014 but was ultimately unsuccessful.<\/p>\n

His first-term Justice Department opened an inquiry into the book in September 2020.<\/p>\n

The ex-Trump adviser has been at odds with his old boss since, regularly appearing on cable news criticizing the president\u2019s national security and foreign policy.<\/p>\n

It comes a day after Patel revealed former FBI Director James Comey had authorized leaks of classified documents \u201cwhile misleading Congress\u201d just before the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n
