Star Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug has been arrested, according to Dallas County jail records.<\/p>\n

DALLAS \u2014 Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug<\/a> has been arrested, according to jail records.<\/p>\n

Dallas County jail records showed that Xavier Landum — who goes by the stage name BigXthaPlug — was taken into custody at 2:20 a.m. Friday on charges of marijuana possession of less than two ounces and unlawful possession of a firearm. Both charges are misdemeanors, according to the jail records.<\/p>\n

Police sources told WFAA that Landum, 27, was arrested during a traffic stop in southeast Dallas. More details were not yet available.<\/p>\n

Landum’s arrest happened on the same morning as the release of his new album, “I Hope You’re Happy,” which features several high-profile collaborations, including with Shaboozey.<\/p>\n

The pair filmed a music video for “Home”<\/a> that closed the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge for an afternoon in June.<\/p>\n

It’s the second time Landum has been arrested in North Texas this year. He was arrested on a marijuana possession charge<\/a> in Arlington in February.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Landum has been a breakout rap star over the last several years.<\/p>\n

In 2024, he was named to the Freshman Class of 2024 by XXL<\/a>.
