China\u2019s government is urging companies to use domestic chips instead, The Information reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This comes a month after companies including Nvidia were given the <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/07\/14\/nvidia-is-set-to-resume-china-chip-sales-after-months-of-regulatory-whiplash\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">green light to start selling its AI chips<\/a> designed for China\u2019s market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An Nvidia spokesperson sent TechCrunch the following statement, \u201cWe constantly manage our supply chain to address market conditions. Cybersecurity is critically important to us. NVIDIA does not have \u2018backdoors\u2019 in our chips that would give anyone a remote way to access or control them.
