{"id":167350,"date":"2025-08-22T20:21:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-22T20:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/167350\/"},"modified":"2025-08-22T20:21:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-22T20:21:10","slug":"judge-calls-out-mans-hurtful-evil-actions-in-exploiting-young-girl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/167350\/","title":{"rendered":"Judge calls out man&#8217;s &#8216;hurtful, evil&#8217; actions in exploiting young girl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/timesofsandiego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/federal-courthouse2.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/federal-courthouse2.jpg\" alt=\"Federal courthouse\" class=\"wp-image-63679\" style=\"width:768px;height:auto\"  \/><\/a>Federal courthouse in downtown San Diego.(File photo by Chris Stone\/Times of San Diego)<\/p>\n<p>A San Diego man who convinced a 14-year-old girl to send him sexual photographs of herself was sentenced Friday to a term far longer than prosecutors had sought.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Judge Jinsook Ohta imposed a sentence for Eric Jin that was notably higher than the 15 years recommended by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-sdca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prosecution<\/a> and defense. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hurtful and evil nature of those actions on such young children is such that it really defies adequate description,\u201d Ohta said.<\/p>\n<p>Jin persuaded the girl to send him pictures of her private parts to him on two occasions. In one of those instances, he instructed the girl to carve his name into her inner thigh. She did so and sent him a photograph of the result, prosecutors say.<\/p>\n<p>Jin, who pleaded guilty to a federal count of sexual exploitation of a minor, was aware on both occasions that the girl was 14 years old, according to his plea agreement. He also sent her pictures \u201cof other minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct,\u201d the agreement states.<\/p>\n<p>The victim, now 17, did not appear at the sentencing hearing, but her mother told Jin in court, \u201cYou have irreparably harmed an innocent child\u2019s life for your selfish desires.
