Call to order<\/p>\n II. Approval of minutes from April 11, 2025, meeting<\/p>\n III. Briefings and discussion of financial report for October 2024-May 2025<\/p>\n IV. Election<\/p>\n Parker moved to nominate Alan Blaylock as LDC president and Deborah Peoples as vice president. The motion passed unanimously.<\/p>\n V. Action items<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0a. Consideration to authorize a two-year continuance of the Fort Worth Main Street America pilot program<\/a>. Martha Collins, Fort Worth economic development manager, noted the city chose two corridors \u2014 Historic Northside (Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce) and Polytechnic Heights (Southeast Fort Worth Inc.) \u2014 when it launched the $650,000 Main Street pilot for three years in 2022.<\/p>\n The intent has been to build capacity for place-based community organizations to revitalize historic, commercial corridors. Goals: establish a clear vision, empower stakeholders to lead and implement unique transformation strategies using Main Street America\u2019s four-point framework in economic vitality, design, organization and promotion.<\/p>\n Staff recommendations: Approval to continue the Fort Worth Main Street America pilot program not to exceed a total of $300,000 and reassignment and extension of Polytechnic pilot program from southeast Fort Worth to Texas Wesleyan University; continue Historic Northside District funding and tech support with the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for two years; extend the contract and add new Main Street America training and assistance. Motion passed unanimously.<\/p>\n VII.
