\n\tEXCLUSIVE:<\/strong> Filmmaker Julia Hart<\/a> (Miss Stevens) has set the cast for Don\u2019t Say Good Luck, a new comedy for Netflix<\/a>. Pic will star Melanie Lynskey<\/a> (Yellowjackets), Max Greenfield<\/a> (The Neighborhood), Stephanie Beatriz<\/a> (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Sunny Sandler<\/a> (You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah), Bebe Neuwirth (Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club), and Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire).<\/p>\n

\n\tWritten by Laura Hankin, Hart & Jordan Horowitz, the film follows Sophie Birenbaum (Sandler), who is ready for the spotlight as the lead in her high school musical \u2014 until suddenly she\u2019s living with even more drama at home than on the stage.<\/p>\n

\n\tHorowitz will produce for Original Headquarters, alongside Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger for Range, and Happy Madison. Michael Roiff and Barry Weissler are EPs.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrior to Don\u2019t Say Good Luck, Hart has helmed features including the acclaimed dramedy Miss Stevens; genre-bender Fast Color starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw; Prime Video\u2019s crime drama I\u2019m Your Woman starring Rachel Brosnahan; and YA pics Stargirl and Hollywood Stargirl for Disney+. She and Horowitz are repped by CAA and Lichter, Grossman, Nichols.<\/p>\n
