The book is a Good Morning America Book Club pick and was named Best Book Pic of 2021 by Harper\u2019s Bazaar and Real Simple.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The narrative is told from alternating viewpoints. The story is about the lifelong bond between a black woman and a white woman, whose friendship is changed by a tragic event. The book offers an exploration of race in America today and was written by two women with different racial backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Christine Pride is a publishing veteran of over two-decades. In her publishing career, Pride edited and published a range of bestselling books. Her first work, as a novelist, was the Good Morning America Book Club Pick, \u201cWe Are Not Like Them,\u201d written with Jo Piazza. Piazza\u2019s podcasts have garnered more than twenty-five million downloads and regularly top podcast charts.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0On Wednesday, Sept. 10 The Paper Hearts Book Club will meet at the Scottsboro Public Library at 5:30 p.m. The group will discuss \u201cOne True Loves\u201d by Taylor Jenkins Reid. The book is a romance novel, the title uses the word love in the plural form because a woman is left to choose between two men; one from her past and one who could be her future. The novel explores love, grief, and personal growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cSo compelling&#8230;Reid is so talented at creating characters you believe in,\u201d \u00a0Associated Press. \u201cReid\u2019s heartwrenching tale asks if it\u2019s\u00a0possible to have multiple soul mates,\u201d\u2014Us Weekly. \u201cOne True Loves\u201d was named a Best Book of Summer by Cosmopolitan, InStyle, Redbook, Us Weekly, Parade, and others.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Taylor Jenkins Reid is the author of several New Youk Times bestselling novels.
