Everton are closing in on signing Tyler Dibling from Southampton as the Toffees\u2019 summer-long search for a right winger seems to be coming to an end.<\/strong><\/p>\n Developments on a deal for the 19-year-old took place quickly. Reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has also given his trademark \u201cHere we go\u201d<\/a> for the deal!<\/p>\n \u201cVerbal agreement at \u00a342M plus sell-on clause to Southampton, long-term deal for Dibling agreed back in July,\u201d Romano tweeted.<\/p>\n An imminent agreement has also been reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic, Richard Jolly<\/a> of The Independent, Paul Joyce<\/a> of The Times and Sky Sports News<\/a> among others.<\/p>\n \u201cThe proposed package for Dibling will be worth just over \u00a340M ($54.2M), with the clubs still finalising the details and structure of the deal, which will include a 20% sell-on clause for Southampton,\u201d stated Ornstein in The Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cPersonal terms have been agreed in principle but need finalising and, if all goes to plan, the 19-year-old will undergo a medical early next week.\u201d<\/p>\n Everton had previously seen three bids rejected by Southampton<\/a> for their teenage winger, one of the most highly rated attacking prospects in England. It is believed that the Blues had pulled out of the deal over a discrepancy in valuations<\/a> between the two clubs.<\/p>\n However, the Saints have lowered their demands since then, allowing the Toffees to return to the negotiating table.<\/p>\n Dibling was left out of Will Still\u2019s squad for Southampton\u2019s first two matches in the Championship but played the final few minutes in the 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town recently.<\/p>\n He made 33 Premier League appearances last season and scored two goals.\u00a0<\/p>\n Dibling is expected to slot straight into David Moyes\u2019s starting XI, given that the squad does not have a right winger at the moment. The money is what it is, we want young hungry progressing players then you have to take z gamble.
I’m hoping they have crunched all his numbers and stats, it’s a big fee for a young lad, he’s OK putting in a decent shift and Southampton getting a draw, he’s stepping up now. He needs to be ready, hit the ground running and show what he’s got. <\/p>\n
