{"id":168779,"date":"2025-08-23T09:16:20","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T09:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/168779\/"},"modified":"2025-08-23T09:16:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T09:16:20","slug":"jacksonville-international-airport-sees-record-breaking-july-passenger-traffic-action-news-jax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/168779\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacksonville International Airport sees record-breaking July passenger traffic \u2013 Action News Jax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) experienced its busiest July ever, with over 709,000 passengers traveling through the facility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">This surge in passenger traffic marks a 3.1 percent increase over July 2024, which previously held the record for the highest July traffic at the airport.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/live-breaking\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/live-breaking\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>&gt;&gt;&gt; STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">\u201cThis is proof that Northeast Florida is a growing region and an attractive destination for airlines,\u201d said Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) CEO Mark VanLoh.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">In the first half of 2025, JAX welcomed two new airlines and added twelve new nonstop destinations. Avelo Airlines now offers nonstop flights to New Haven, Connecticut, and Wilmington, Delaware. Air Canada provides seasonal daily flights to Toronto.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">Allegiant Airlines expanded its service with nonstop flights to Akron\/Canton, Des Moines, and Grand Rapids. Breeze Airways added nonstop service to New Haven and will begin flights to Akron-Canton in September. Southwest Airlines has introduced flights to Kansas City on Saturdays and plans to add nonstop service to Austin in October.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\"><b>[DOWNLOAD: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/mobile-apps\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><b>Free Action News Jax app for alerts as news breaks<\/b><\/a><b>]<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">To accommodate the sustained growth in passenger numbers, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority is undertaking several major infrastructure projects. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">A new concourse, Concourse B, will add six gates, additional concessions, and passenger amenities. Additionally, a third parking garage will provide approximately 2,000 new parking spaces.
