The WNBA regular season is heading into its final stretch with less than three weeks remaining. The top-seeded Minnesota Lynx were the first \u2014 and so far, the only \u2014 team to clinch a postseason berth, likely securing the No. 1 seed in the process.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s now a matchup of the Eastern Conference\u2019s best, setting the table for Saturday\u2019s showdown between the New York Liberty (22-14) and Atlanta Dream (23-13).<\/p>\n

How to watch New York Liberty at Atlanta Dream<\/p>\n

A tight race is brewing for the No. 2 seed. The defending champion Liberty have fallen from second to fifth in the playoff standings since losing to the Lynx last weekend, going 5-5 in their last 10 games. Granted, the team has been without superstar Breanna Stewart, who continues to recover from a knee injury and is expected to be out on Saturday. Sabrina Ionescu (foot) is also questionable to play.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Dream have been ascending, going 8-2 in their last 10. Atlanta currently holds the No. 2 seed, nursing a half-game lead over the red-hot Las Vegas Aces, who have won nine straight.<\/p>\n

Atlanta will also be without one of its starters Saturday as point guard Jordin Canada is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Canada is averaging 12 points and 5.7 assists per game and has twice earned All-Defensive honors in her career. Rookie Te-Hina Paopao has averaged about 30 minutes over the last three contests in Canada\u2019s absence.<\/p>\n

Both teams last played on Thursday. New York is coming off a disappointing 91-85 home loss to the Chicago Sky (9-26), while Atlanta escaped with a narrow 75-73 victory over the Lynx.<\/p>\n

Eight teams make the WNBA postseason, and only four games separate the Liberty and the eighth-seeded Golden State Valkyries. With less than a month to go until the playoffs, the pressure is on the defending champions to make up some ground.<\/p>\n
