People have lived in South Texas for thousands of years, and the San Antonio Missions are a testament to the history of the land. <\/p>\n

Ten years ago, the Missions became the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas to continue the legacy of the people that live here.<\/p>\n

To celebrate, the World Heritage Festival<\/a> invites everyone to tour the historic sites and enjoy the natural area around them.<\/p>\n
