{"id":169475,"date":"2025-08-23T15:40:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T15:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/169475\/"},"modified":"2025-08-23T15:40:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T15:40:09","slug":"4-local-spots-close-their-doors-and-more-fort-worth-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/169475\/","title":{"rendered":"4 local spots close their doors and more Fort Worth news"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2025 State Fair of Texas has revealed the winners for the 21st Annual Big Tex Choice Awards, the State Fair&#8217;s annual competition of new over-the-top foodstuffs from concessionaires.<\/p>\n<p>A panel of judges convened on August 21 to taste and evaluate the 15 <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/state-fair-2025-fried-food\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">finalists<\/a> before arriving at the following four winners:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ee-ul\">\n<li>Best Taste \u2013 Savory: Crab &amp; Mozzarella Arancini<\/li>\n<li>Best Taste \u2013 Sweet: Chill &amp; Thrill Delight<\/li>\n<li>Best Taste \u2013 Sipper: Cookie Chaos Milkshake<\/li>\n<li>Most Creative: Wagyu Bacon Cheeseburger Deviled Egg Sliders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year\u2019s judges included Jeff Allen and Marissa Allen, co-founders of Cookie Society; Keandre Hopkins, content creator; Chris Meyer, general manager of Karbach Brewing Company, the contest sponsor; and Alex Snodgrass, author and content creator.<\/p>\n<p>The winners were chosen from 15 finalists, evaluated on four criteria: uniqueness, creativity, presentation, and taste. Trendiness was apparently not a factor \u2014 otherwise the Dubai chocolate cheesecake surely would have aced it.<\/p>\n<p>The State Fair of Texas will run from September 26 to October 19.
