STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.– Staten Islanders should plan to alter their weekly trash routine for Labor Day.<\/p>\n
The Department of Sanitation announced that there will be no trash, curbside composting or recycling collection in NYC on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025. <\/p>\n
Anyone who normally gets Monday trash, curbside composting or recycling collection should instead place their material at the curb Monday evening, for collection beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll residents should understand collection delays may be common after holidays,\u201d according to a statement from the Department of Sanitation. <\/p>\n
