a murder case from late May<\/a>, according to an arrest affidavit.\u00a0<\/p>\n23-year-old Naqibullah Habibzoi is accused of shooting and killing a man on San Antonio’s northwest side on May 31.<\/p>\n
Investigators say Habibzoi posted threats and photos of the victim online, before they say he drove from Houston to San Antonio to carry out the killing.<\/p>\n
According to an arrest warrant, this was all about money and revenge. And it was social media that eventually led detectives straight to the suspect.<\/p>\n
On May 31, officers responded to the 9100 block of Dartbrook Drive for a shooting.<\/p>\n
When officers got there, they found the victim, 34-year-old Awal Noor Kiftan, who had been shot multiple times. He died on the scene.<\/p>\n
Police were able to track Habibzoi through his TikTok account, according to the warrant. Habibzoi posted comments and videos about the victim and a dispute over $31,000.<\/p>\n
One of the comments mentioned revenge, another included a picture of the victim.<\/p>\n
Police say after the multiple posts were deleted, Habibzoi posted another video saying his account had been hacked, trying to imply he was being framed.<\/p>\n
Detectives figured out Habibzoi knew the victim when they worked together for a trucking company. Other evidence showed Habibzoi drove from Houston to San Antonio to allegedly commit the murder.<\/p>\n
A voice call was obtained of Habibzoi where he allegedly admitted to the murder, saying his heart was “pleased and satisfied.”<\/p>\n
He was arrested in another county and booked virtually into the Bexar County jail.<\/p>\n
