Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi made all the right move<\/a>s when they plopped themselves into their \u201cdream life\u201d in the Cotwolds.<\/p>\n

The former talk show host shared a sweet Instagram clip<\/a> of de Rossi\u2019s horseback ride through the U.K. countryside, and it looked like it was straight out of a fairytale. With Taylor Swift\u2019s single, \u201cAugust,\u201d playing in the background, the Arrested Development star dreamily looked at historic architecture, galloped through the forest, and took in the lush green landscape \u2014 it was pure heaven<\/a>.<\/p>\n

DeGeneres shared her thoughts in the post\u2019s caption, \u201cPortia\u2019s living her dream riding her horse through the English countryside and into the village. Gosh, I hope she comes home soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/a> sources claim DeGeneres \u201chas found her happy place\u201d after relocating to the U.K. due to the results of the November 2024 election. \u201cIt\u2019s a different lifestyle for her. She\u2019s very chill and in her element,\u201d the insider said. The 67-year-old TV personality and her 52-year-old wife aren\u2019t exactly retired<\/a>, but they are being selective about the projects they work on. They are content with their sprawling 10,000-square-foot home, Hiaven, that they bought for a reported $26 million.<\/p>\n

DeGeneres and de Rossi sold all of their remaining California properties and no longer have ties to the U.S. \u2014\u00a0the U.K. is officially their home. The move was only supposed to be temporary, but Donald Trump\u2019s win changed their plans because they no longer felt safe.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, \u2018He got in.\u2019 And we\u2019re like, \u2018We\u2019re staying here,\u2019\u201d she said in a conversation with British host Richard Bacon in July, per the BBC<\/a>. \u201cWe moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here. Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Country living is exactly what DeGeneres and de Rossi needed, and it\u2019s giving them the fairytale life they\u2019ve always dreamed of.<\/p>\n
