{"id":17032,"date":"2025-06-26T19:03:08","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T19:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/17032\/"},"modified":"2025-06-26T19:03:08","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T19:03:08","slug":"how-to-get-fortnite-ftc-refund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/17032\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Get Fortnite FTC Refund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPlayers of <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/epic-games\/\" id=\"auto-tag_epic-games\" data-tag=\"epic-games\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Epic Games<\/a>\u2018 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/fortnite\/\" id=\"auto-tag_fortnite\" data-tag=\"fortnite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fortnite<\/a>\u201d who were \u201ccharged for unwanted purchases while playing the game\u201d will be receiving more than $126 million in refunds from the Federal Trade Commission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe government agency announced the new round of refunds Wednesday, which brings the total amount that the <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/ftc\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ftc\" data-tag=\"ftc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FTC<\/a> has issued to consumers related to its now-settled case against Epic regarding its billing practices to nearly $200 million. In December 2022, Epic announced it had <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/digital\/news\/epic-games-ftc-settlement-fortnite-kids-privacy-deceptive-practices-1235465164\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agreed to pay $245 million to settle the FTC\u2019s accusations<\/a> that the gaming company used \u201cdeceptive practices to trick players into making unwanted purchases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe FTC issued 629,344 payments to \u201cFortnite\u201d players in December 2024, a first round of refunds that totaled more than $72 million.
