Thomas Frank is still waiting for Daniel Levy to deliver him new signings at Tottenham.<\/strong><\/p>\n Levy made his intentions of providing the first team with investment clear in a sit-down interview with Tottenham recently<\/a>, but has yet to make true on his promise.<\/p>\n It is a familiar feeling for the Lilywhites, who are growing increasingly tired of hearing the same rhetoric being repeated by Levy<\/a> without results.<\/p>\n Calls for his resignation have increased in both number and intensity over the years until Spurs\u2019 UEFA Europa League triumph saw them briefly ebb away.<\/p>\n Tottenham\u2019s inactivity so far this window risks reigniting the fuse, although Levy has shown that there is some value to his words, as news of a new transfer agreement emerges.<\/p>\n It has been widely reported that Tottenham have agreed a \u00a35million deal for Kawasaki Frontale\u2019s K\u014dta Takai<\/a>, a record fee for a player from the J1 League.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The centre-back is expected to join the first team straight away, adding to Frank\u2019s list of available defenders at Spurs.<\/p>\n Levy has been praised for securing the deal<\/a> as the 20-year-old is highly rated in Japan, for whom he has already won four caps.<\/p>\n Takai was crucial in helping Kawasaki Frontale reach the AFC Champions League Elite last season, as well as playing an integral part in helping his side win the J1 League in 2024.<\/p>\n And ex-Spurs scout Bryan King \u2013 speaking exclusively to Tottenham News<\/strong> \u2013 believes that Levy will have used his connections in Japan to secure a deal.<\/p>\n \u201cTottenham have had lots of interest from South Korea because of Son Heung-min,\u201d\u00a0King said.<\/p>\n \u201cIf this kid comes in, they\u2019ll generate plenty of interest from Japanese supporters.
