Wistron\u2019s first U.S. manufacturing site will be in Fort Worth, Texas.<\/p>\n
Wistron, one of the world\u2019s largest electronics manufacturers, confirmed Tuesday that it will invest $761 million to establish two AI supercomputing facilities at AllianceTexas in Fort Worth \u2014 a move supported by major tax abatements from both the city of Fort Worth and Denton County.<\/p>\n
In June, the Fort Worth City Council approved a tax abatement agreement with Wistron, offering up to an 80% abatement for one project site and 60% for the other over a 10-year period if both are completed. Denton County Commissioners also approved a package in July, providing up to $5 million in combined abatements over eight years.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s go time in Fort Worth, and this investment from Wistron, which will create significant job growth and economic impact in our city, is just more proof,\u201d said Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker in a statement. \u201cFort Worth is already at the forefront of aviation, energy, and logistics, and we are now positioned to lead in both AI and the future of advanced manufacturing.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two facilities will be located within Hillwood\u2019s 27,000-acre AllianceTexas development. One site, at 14601 Mobility Way, will undergo $181 million in renovations to a 766,994-square-foot building. The primary site, at 15200 Heritage Parkway, will see more than $580 million in improvements to a 324,598-square-foot facility. Both are expected to be operational by early 2026.<\/p>\n

Wistron Corporation is a Taiwan-headquartered manufacturer that designs, builds, and services information and communications technology hardware for global brands.<\/p>\n
The company was established 2001 as a spin-off of Acer\u2019s design and manufacturing unit. Simon Lin serves as chairman, and Jeff Lin is president and\u00a0CEO. In 2024 Wistron reported $32 billion in revenue.<\/p>\n
