{"id":171388,"date":"2025-08-24T09:38:24","date_gmt":"2025-08-24T09:38:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/171388\/"},"modified":"2025-08-24T09:38:24","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T09:38:24","slug":"sabrositos-hondurenos-recalls-32000-lbs-of-meat-nbc-5-dallas-fort-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/171388\/","title":{"rendered":"Sabrositos Hondurenos recalls 32,000 lbs of meat \u2013 NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sabrositos Hondurenos, LLC, based in Edison, N.J., is recalling about 32,000 pounds of meat products after federal officials discovered they were produced without the required USDA inspection and carried false inspection labels, the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/recalls-alerts\/sabrositos-hondurenos-llc-recalls-various-meat-products-produced-without-benefit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The recall covers a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/food_label_pdf\/2025-08\/Recall-028-2025-Label.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">variety of products<\/a>, including chorizo, pork chops, and ribs, sold under the \u201cOLANCHO\u201d brand. <\/p>\n<p>Packages carried a fake USDA inspection mark with the nonexistent establishment number \u201cEST. 1785.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Which products are recalled?<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>14-oz. vacuum-sealed packages of \u201cOLANCHO Chorizo Suelto Olanchano SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d<\/li>\n<li>14-oz. packages of \u201cOLANCHO Chuleta Ahumada Olanchana SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d (smoked pork chops)<\/li>\n<li>14-oz. packages of \u201cOLANCHO Chorizo Ahumado Olanchano SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d (smoked chorizo)<\/li>\n<li>14-oz. packages of \u201cOLANCHO Chorizo Olanchano Criollo SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d (cased homestyle chorizo)<\/li>\n<li>14-oz. packages of \u201cOLANCHO Chorizo Parrillero SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d (smoked BBQ spicy chorizo)<\/li>\n<li>14-oz. packages of \u201cOLANCHO Costilla Ahumada Olanchana SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d (smoked ribs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The issue came to light during routine FSIS surveillance when investigators found products in commerce with fraudulent inspection marks.<\/p>\n<p>No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported, but FSIS warns that consuming uninspected meat could pose health risks, including exposure to harmful bacteria or undeclared allergens.<\/p>\n<p>What should you do if you have recalled meat?<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do not eat the recalled products.<\/li>\n<li>Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Restaurants should not serve the affected items and should also dispose of them.
