Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>He is the second tennis player to reach billionaire status after Ion \u00c8\u0161iriac, the Romanian former French Open doubles champion turned investor.<\/p>\n<p>The exclusive group also <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/10\/02\/michael-jordan-worth-3b-first-athlete-among-richest-in-the-us-forbes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">includes Michael Jordan<\/a>, Magic Johnson, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/15\/sports\/american-billionaires-ryan-reynolds-lebron-james-and-tom-brady-have-upended-english-soccer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LeBron James,<\/a> Junior Bridgeman, and Tiger Woods, who alongside James, achieved billionaire status while still competing.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Forbes also named Carlos Alcaraz the highest-paid active tennis player for the second year in a row, with $48.3 million earned over the past year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/08\/19\/sports\/jannik-sinner-pulls-out-of-hyped-us-open-doubles-event-in-health-worry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World No. 1 Jannik Sinner<\/a> followed closely with $47.3 million, nearly doubling his previous total, including $20.3 million from prize money, the third-highest single-year total in tennis history.<\/p>\n<p>Roger Federer meets with Michael Jordan on Day 2 of the 2014 US Open in Queens, NY.
