PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police are investigating several homicides throughout the city.<\/p>\n
The first happened in the city’s Logan section as three men were sitting on the sidewalk on the 1700 block of West Ruscomb Street.<\/p>\n
Police say a man walked up to the men unprovoked and began threatening them with a gun.<\/p>\n
The gunman fired, striking a man who was sitting there.<\/p>\n
Police say that man died at the hospital.<\/p>\n
The shooter ran off, but police say he was later taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Another man was shot and killed on the 6000 block of North Warnock Street in Fern Rock.<\/p>\n
The 45-year-old, who was hit in the chest, died at the hospital a short time later.<\/p>\n
An investigation is now underway as police search for the suspect.<\/p>\n
In a third shooting, a man was found shot in the head on the 600 block of East Thayer Street in Kensington.<\/p>\n
He died at Temple University Hospital.<\/p>\n
The search continues for the shooter and clues to the motive.<\/p>\n
