Duke has put together another really impressive freshman class and one of the reasons people are excited is Dame Sarr. A 6-8 kid out of Italy, Sarr brings a lot of versatility to the roster. He should be plug and play at either forward spot or as the second guard – basically anywhere on the wing. He may or may not start and actually he may be much more valuable as the first guy off the bench.<\/p>\n

Sarr really rose to prominence at the Nike Hoop Summit this spring, and there\u2019s an interesting story there.<\/p>\n
Sarr had been playing for Barcelona, but his team did not want him in Portland. Sarr defied them, bet on himself and went anyway. He made a huge impression and is now a Blue Devil. Barcelona cut ties with him as a result, but he\u2019s in a vastly better situation now, so his stubbornness paid off.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s going to have to adjust to college basketball of course. European basketball is good but not at all the same.
