From courtside cameos to social media stardom, the children of tennis legends are growing up in the spotlight and sometimes even picking up rackets of their own.<\/p>\n

Over the last few years, tennis stars have given a more intimate look at their most important role: parenthood. Serena Williams<\/a>\u2019 daughter Olympia<\/a> has been twinning with her mom on Instagram. Naomi Osaka<\/a>‘s daughter Shai<\/a> has given her a powerful new reason to play, while Rafael Nadal<\/a>\u2019s son Rafael Jr.<\/a> stole the show at the 2024 French Open when he was photographed holding a mini racket<\/a> courtside.<\/p>\n

And 2025 has brought even more excitement: Caroline Wozniacki<\/a> welcomed her third child<\/a>, Max, in July, and Nadal’s second child<\/a> was born a month later.<\/p>\n

From Williams’ and Osaka\u2019s daughters to Roger Federer<\/a> and Novak Djokovic<\/a>\u2019s kids, here\u2019s everything to know about the families behind tennis\u2019 biggest names.<\/p>\n

Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian<\/a>, are proud parents to two daughters: Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., born Sept. 1, 2017, and Adira River Ohanian, born Aug. 15, 2023.<\/p>\n

Williams famously found out she was pregnant with Olympia shortly before she competed in (and won) the 2017 Australian Open. Today, Olympia has become a mini fashion icon and social media star, often twinning with her mom<\/a> in matching outfits. She\u2019s also dabbled in tennis, with Williams sharing clips of their practice sessions<\/a> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Though she\u2019s taken lessons from her tennis legend mom, Williams has said that Olympia is more interested in dance and piano<\/a> than dominating the baseline.<\/p>\n

Adira, whose name means \u201cmighty,\u201d \u201cstrong\u201d and \u201cmajestic,\u201d according to Williams, joined the family in 2023. Williams and Ohanian revealed her name\u2019s meaning on her first birthday<\/a>, celebrating her arrival in throwback posts on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Nadal and his wife, Mery “Xisxa” Perell\u00f3<\/a>, became first-time parents when they welcomed their son, Rafael Jr.<\/a>, on Oct. 8, 2022, in Mallorca. Three years later, their second child, Miquel, was born in August 2025.<\/p>\n

The couple mostly keep their personal lives private, but Rafael Jr. has become a familiar courtside presence \u2014 most memorably at the 2024 French Open, where he was spotted holding a mini tennis racket while cheering for his dad.<\/p>\n

As for his son\u2019s future in sports, Nadal told reporters, per Vanity Fair<\/a>, after his final match in May 2025, \u201cIf that\u2019s what my son wants to do, I\u2019m going to support him. I don\u2019t think that will be the case, but I\u2019m going to support him in whatever he wants to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Federer and his wife Mirka Federer<\/a> are parents to two sets of twins<\/a>: Myla and Charlene, born in 2009, and Leo and Lenny, born in 2014.<\/p>\n

While all of his children have passions of their own, Federer told PEOPLE in June 2024 that only one of them has an interest in getting serious about tennis.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey do play tennis<\/a>, and we ski, and we\u2019re all learning to golf,” he said. “We recently tried scuba diving. But the girls were never passionate about tennis, and I was relieved about it.”<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cThe boys love their soccer. Leo is starting to show interest in getting serious about tennis. Lenny is much more creative, he\u2019s very into drawing, reading.”<\/p>\n

Djokovic and his wife Jelena Djokovic<\/a> share two children<\/a>: son Stefan, born in October 2014, and daughter Tara, born in September 2017. Stefan has shown a budding interest in tennis, though Djokovic has said that he\u2019s not forcing his son to play the sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot a single day have I told him that he has to do this,” Djokovic said at a 2022 press conference. “It’s really only his pure desire to step on the court. So if he wants to embark on this journey, I guess I have to embark with him too.”<\/p>\n

He added, “He’s doing well so far, he’s really in love with the sport.”<\/p>\n

Tara, on the other hand, prefers ballet and gymnastics. \u201cShe keeps me grounded and humble,\u201d Djokovic shared at the 2023 Australian Open<\/a>. During Wimbledon 2024, she made headlines for reading a book courtside while her dad played.<\/p>\n

Wozniacki and former NBA star David Lee<\/a> are raising three little ones, including their daughter Olivia, who was born in 2021, and their son James, whom they welcomed a year later. Their youngest child, Max, was born on July 26, 2025.<\/p>\n

Olivia is already shaping up to be Wozniacki’s “mini<\/a>” and has expressed interest in playing tennis.<\/p>\n

Wozniacki told Tennis.com<\/a> in August 2023 that Olivia accompanies her to practices and asks to join her mom “at work.”<\/p>\n

James, meanwhile, might take after his dad \u2014 Wozniacki joked in an August 2023 interview with TODAY<\/a> that he\u2019s tall enough for basketball already.<\/p>\n

Daniil Medvedev<\/a> became a father in October 2022 when he and his wife Daria Medvedeva<\/a> welcomed their daughter Alisa. Just before the 2025 Australian Open, Medvedev confirmed the arrival of their second daughter.<\/p>\n

Fatherhood has sparked deep self-reflection in Medvedev, especially through his bond with Alisa.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t always succeed to be the best father I want to be, but it teaches you,\u201d he said in a press conference<\/a> at the Terra Wortmann Open in September 2024. \u201cI am even trying to read books about it because I really want her to grow up as a happy person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steffi Graf<\/a> and Andre Agassi<\/a> welcomed their son, Jaden Gil Agassi, in October 2001. Two years later, their daughter, Jaz Elle Agassi, was born in October 2003. While both were raised outside the tennis spotlight, they\u2019ve each carved out their own paths.<\/p>\n

Jaden found his passion in baseball early on and in 2025 made his international debut with Germany, where his mother was born.<\/p>\n

“Agassi is a very tennis last name, of course,” Jaden told WKBN News<\/a> in 2024. “The goal is to try to make it a baseball one.”<\/p>\n

Jaz, meanwhile, leads a more private life.<\/p>\n

Osaka became a mom in July 2023, welcoming daughter Shai with now ex-boyfriend Cordae<\/a>. While the couple have kept much of their family life private, Osaka has shared glimpses of motherhood<\/a> on Instagram.<\/p>\n

In a December 2023 conversation with InStyle<\/a>, Osaka described her birth experience as \u201crough,\u201d involving complications like Group B streptococcus, a bacterial infection that can lead to a newborn having sepsis or meningitis, and a complicated labor.<\/p>\n

Since returning to tennis, Osaka has said her daughter is her new reason to play. \u201cI want to play long enough for [Shai] to see me play,\u201d she shared in an April 2024 conversation with Nick Kyrgios<\/a>.<\/p>\n
