Police say Brandon Engeloff, 32, is facing second-degree murder, accessory after the fact and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.<\/p>\n

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that took place nearly four months ago<\/a> on Jacksonville’s Westside.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) says Brandon Engeloff, 32, is facing second-degree murder, accessory after the fact and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.<\/p>\n

At around 6:30 a.m. April 15, officers had responded to a call about a shooting on the 2900 block of Ernest Street.<\/p>\n

When they arrived,\u00a0JSO says<\/a> officers found the victim, 33-year-old Christopher Cam, suffering from gunshot wounds. First responders with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene and took the Cam to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

The medical examiner eventually ruled that his cause of death was a homicide, the sheriff’s office said. At the time, detectives said were able to speak to witnesses and searched for surveillance video in the area during their investigation.<\/p>\n

JSO said the the investigation led detectives to identify Engeloff as a suspect.
