However, recent news opens the door to them getting some major reinforcements ahead of Week 1.

After being drafted in the second round of the 2020 draft, Trevon Diggs quickly emerged as a focal point of the Cowboys’ secondary. That said, injuries have caused his career to go off the tracks a little bit. Diggs played in just two games in 2023, followed by 11 last season before needing knee surgery.

Still recovering from his latest procedure, Diggs opened training camp on the PUP list. Not far removed from Dallas’ preseason finale, the team released a promising update regarding their star cornerback.

Also read: Cowboys Star Micah Parsons Breaks Silence on Viral Preseason Photos

Trevon Diggs #7 of the Dallas Cowboys looks on prior to the NFL Preseason 2025 game against the Baltimore Ravens at AT&T Stadium on August 16, 2025 in Arlington, Texas.
Trevon Diggs #7 of the Dallas Cowboys looks on prior to the NFL Preseason 2025 game against the Baltimore Ravens at AT&T Stadium on August 16, 2025 in Arlington, Texas.
Photo by Sam Hodde/Getty Images/Getty Images
Dallas Cowboys put out injury update on Trevon Diggs

On Sunday morning, the Cowboys released a statement regarding the latest on Diggs.
