{"id":172841,"date":"2025-08-24T23:01:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-24T23:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/172841\/"},"modified":"2025-08-24T23:01:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T23:01:11","slug":"nyc-carjacker-seriously-injures-87-year-old-woman-in-wild-morning-crime-spree-prosecutors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/172841\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC carjacker seriously injures 87-year-old woman in wild morning crime spree: prosecutors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The alleged serial carjacker whose wild Queens crime spree led to the friendly-fire shooting of an NYPD officer was thrown behind bars without bail Sunday \u2014 as shocking new details of his short-lived rampage emerged.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Dubuisson, 28, is now accused of leaving an 87-year-old woman with brain injuries during his Friday morning fracas in which he attempted to violently steal two cars, threatened to \u201ckill\u201d another victim and left the police officer with gunshot wounds and a broken leg, according to new court documents.<\/p>\n<p>The elderly woman was being helped from her car by her daughter \u2014 and both were knocked to the ground when Dubuisson allegedly backed into them \u201cat high speed\u201d with an SUV he\u2019d just stolen.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Dubuisson, 28, was arraigned on more than a dozen charges Sunday, from assault of a police officer to robbery. Mango<\/p>\n<p>She suffered a fractured wrist, a cut on her head, blood loss and a brain bleed, according to a criminal complaint. <\/p>\n<p>Her daughter was also banged up.<\/p>\n<p>Dubuisson \u2014 who was out on parole for a 2023 attempted robbery and has at least 10 arrests to his name \u2014 was dismissive of the elderly woman\u2019s injuries when questioned after his arrest, court documents show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI jumped in the whip. I saw the lady on the ground with her head busted up,\u201d Dubuisson told investigators after apparently admitting to several of his charges.<\/p>\n<p>Dubuisson was slapped with 14 charges, including assault, robbery, grand larceny, menacing and assaulting a police officer, and remanded at his arraignment Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The criminal complaint details Dubuisson\u2019s path of destruction beginning at 8:40 a.m. Friday, when he allegedly first tried to slip into a running white Hyundai Santa Fe at a Mobil gas station on Parsons Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p>A gas station attendant intervened but the suspect allegedly told him, \u201cI\u2019m not leaving the car,\u201d the court papers said.<\/p>\n<p>Dubuisson was seen approaching a white SUV Friday morning before being fended off a gas station worker. obtained by the NYPost.<\/p>\n<p>The two began fighting \u2014 with the attendant managing to wrestle the keys from Dubuission\u2019s grip. <\/p>\n<p>The career criminal <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/08\/22\/us-news\/nypd-detective-shot-and-wounded-on-queens-whitestone-expressway-during-morning-rush-cops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">backed off, cursing at the attendant<\/a> and allegedly lifted his shirt while grabbing at his waistband in an apparent attempt to indicate he had a gun, the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>He then allegedly accosted a woman walking across the street, telling her, \u201cI\u2019m going to f\u2013king kill you, you white bitch\u201d while again grabbing at a supposed handgun.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tStart your day with all you need to know\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-module__cta\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMorning Report delivers the latest news, videos, photos and more.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tThanks for signing up!\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Ten minutes later, Dubuisson was already on the hunt for another car to swipe, according to prosecutors, and that\u2019s when he happened upon an Uber driver in his Toyota Highlander at 22nd Road and the Whitestone Expressway service road about two blocks away from the Mobil.<\/p>\n<p>Dubuisson knocked on the window of a 52-year-old\u2019s SUV, telling him, \u201cGive me the car,\u201d while hoisting a crowbar, court papers said. The driver fled with the keyfob in his pocket \u2014 but Dubuisson chased him, shoving him to the ground and snatching the keys, the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>Once behind the wheel of the Highlander, he allegedly backed up it into the elderly woman and then fled the scene, court documents showed.<\/p>\n<p>Dubuisson smirked at officers after he was arrested. He has four prior felony convictions on his record. Brigitte Stelzer<\/p>\n<p>Cops responding to the Uber driver\u2019s 911 call flooded the scene and encircled Dubuisson in the Highlander with their guns drawn \u2014 and that\u2019s when Det. Corey Fisher was blasted twice by friendly fire, leaving him with a broken leg, the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>Fisher, a 12-year veteran with the Queens North Warrants Squad, was rushed to the hospital for surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Following his arrest, Dubuisson allegedly weaved a tangled web of lies to investigators, the documents said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI went over to the guy and said \u2018Give me the f\u2013king car,\u2019 and I acted like I had a gun. I came behind and I said \u2018Give me everything. Get the f\u2013k out of the car.\u2019 I was intentionally signaling that I had a gun. I just scared him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe second Chinese guy disrespected me. I asked him for money and he ignored me. I threatened him. I said \u2018Yo, I\u2019m beat you up,\u2019 this was before I macked the V. I\u2019m taking the car.
