\n\tGunna<\/a> is the latest hip-hop artist to be open to the idea of using AI to make music.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Atlanta rapper was the recent cover star of for UPROXX,<\/a> where he talked with Will.i.am<\/a> about his career so far and what he has planned when the topic of AI got brought up. \u201cI f\u2014k with it, but I\u2019m not hands-on with it. I\u2019m not against it,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m gonna for sure tap in to it, but I\u2019m taking my time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Black Eyed Peas frontman responded by predicting that artists will be competing with AI as early as 2030. \u201cThis sh\u2014t is next level. You gotta tap in deep real soon,\u201d he told Gunna. \u201c\u2018Cause like 2030? Bro. This next five years is gonna be so transformational. We compete with humans right now. In 2030, it\u2019s gonna be full-on Al artists that produce it, write it, and star in the videos.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGunna then responded by saying that he wants to sign an AI artist soon. \u201cI gotta sign me an Al artist, fast. Get with \u2019em, you can\u2019t beat \u2019em,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n

\n\tArtists using AI has become a hot-button issue, especially after legendary producer Timbaland<\/a> announced that he launched<\/a> an AI entertainment company and signed his first AI artist. Last week, he found himself in some trouble after he shared a song that he put into AI software without the artist\u2019s consent and issued an apology<\/a> on Instagram. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019d like to formally apologize to KFresh,\u201d the statement read. \u201cI should have done my due diligence before using it. Regardless of the intent, I recognize that not everyone involved was aware or onboard, and I take full responsibility for that oversight.\u201d<\/p>\n
