Firefighters say the woman started around 7 a.m. and became overheated while on the trek. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Firefighters opted to fly the hiker off the mountain using Phoenix Police\u2019s Firebird 10 helicopter. Once on the ground, the woman was loaded into an ambulance and taken to a Valley hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Then on Sunday, rescue teams from Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale were dispatched to the same trailhead just before 11 a.m. A woman in her 30s said she felt dizzy and couldn\u2019t continue her descent down the mountain. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The hiker has been safely extracted off the mountain utilizing <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PhoenixPolice?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@PhoenixPolice<\/a> Firebird 10.<\/p>\n<p>Safety Tips:<br \/>Hike in the cooler parts of the day \u2601\ufe0f<br \/>Bring fully charged \ud83d\udcf1\u00a0<br \/>Drink plenty of \ud83d\udca7\ud83d\udca7<br \/>Wear proper \ud83e\udd7e \ud83e\udd7e <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/u63ZOg80wo\">pic.twitter.com\/u63ZOg80wo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Phoenix Fire Dept. (@PHXFire) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PHXFire\/status\/1959694394417955054?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">August 24, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Crews used the Firebird 10 helicopter to once again get the hiker down the mountain. She was also hospitalized in stable condition. On Saturday, Phoenix also set a new record warm low of 92 degrees. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The low temperature this morning in Phoenix was 92\u00b0, which will break the daily record warm low for the date. Temperatures this afternoon will approach or exceed 110\u00b0 with the Extreme Heat Warning remaining in effect through tomorrow.
