The Toronto Argonauts, which acquired the CFL\u2019s negotiating rights to Shedeur <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/yes-the-toronto-argonauts-have-the-negotiating-rights-to-shedeur-sanders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">months ago<\/a>, also have the negotiating rights to Shilo. The Argos<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/3downnation.com\/2025\/08\/24\/toronto-argonauts-add-second-son-of-nfl-hall-of-famer-deion-sanders-db-shilo-to-negotiation-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> made the move on Sunday<\/a>, via 3downnation.com.<\/p>\n<p>It works on a first-come, first-served basis for the CFL\u2019s franchises. Each team can have up to 45 players on their negotiating lists.<\/p>\n<p>The gesture remains premature. But if Shilo isn\u2019t claimed on waivers and also isn\u2019t signed to an NFL practice squad, he could choose to continue his football career in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The likelihood of that happening for Shedeur remains low. He\u2019s still on the Browns, and it will be a surprise if he doesn\u2019t make the 53-man roster.
