He\u2019s now facing a misdemeanor assault charge for his alleged role in the brawl that spiraled into shots being fired. <\/p>\n<p>The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. at Paesanos restaurant near the corner of North Loop 1604 West and Paesanos Parkway.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators say that a fight had broken out inside the establishment, with one of the males involved pulling out a gun and firing into the ground.<\/p>\n<p>A man was taken to the hospital after having been wounded by bullet fragments.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/fight-turns-to-gunfire-in-paesanos-restaurant-one-hospitalized-and-one-on-the-run-local-news-near-me-crime-law-public-safety#\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/fight-turns-to-gunfire-in-paesanos-restaurant-one-hospitalized-and-one-on-the-run-local-news-near-me-crime-law-public-safety#\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Restaurant shooting caught on camera leads to arrest after suspect turns himself in<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bruce William Gil, 37, was ID\u2019d as the shooter in the June 19 Paesanos restaurant chaos, caught on security video and backed by witness accounts.<\/p>\n<p>Shavano Park Police issued two felony warrants \u2014 Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Deadly Conduct \u2014 before Gil turned himself in Friday evening with his attorney.<\/p>\n<p>Cops say Gil fired into the ground during a brawl, injuring one man with bullet fragments.
