{"id":17400,"date":"2025-06-26T22:10:13","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T22:10:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/17400\/"},"modified":"2025-06-26T22:10:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T22:10:13","slug":"roger-federers-former-coach-tells-jannik-sinner-what-hell-need-to-do-to-beat-carlos-alcaraz-at-wimbledon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/17400\/","title":{"rendered":"Roger Federer&#8217;s former coach tells Jannik Sinner what he&#8217;ll need to do to beat Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner wrote another chapter in their rivalry at the French Open as fans now look forward to their next clash.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contesting a Grand Slam final for the first time, Alcaraz and Sinner took to the court in search of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/french-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roland Garros<\/a> glory earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>After five sets of thrilling action, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/the-one-shot-which-cost-jannik-sinner-the-french-open-title-has-been-identified-he-will-look-back-on-that-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz defeated Sinner<\/a> 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6, saving match points en route to his second consecutive French Open title.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"673\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2219196313-3-1024x673.jpg\" alt=\"Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz pose with their trophies after the 2025 French Open final\" class=\"wp-image-102826\" \/>Photo by Clive Brunskill\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Securing his fifth straight win over the world number one, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz<\/a> proved to have the upper hand over Sinner once more.<\/p>\n<p>As fans look ahead to a potential meeting between the pair at Wimbledon, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/roger-federer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roger Federer\u2019s<\/a> former coach has told Sinner what he must do if he wants to beat Alcaraz on the grass.<\/p>\n<p>Ivan Ljubicic tells Jannik Sinner to put Carlos Alcaraz \u2018under pressure\u2019 if they play at Wimbledon<\/p>\n<p>During an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzetta.it\/Tennis\/atp\/slam\/wimbledon\/26-06-2025\/ljubicic-sinner-e-alcaraz-attenti-djokovic-fa-ancora-paura.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La Gazetta dello Sport<\/a>, Federer\u2019s former coach Ivan Ljubicic gave his verdict on a potential Sinner\/Alcaraz final at Wimbledon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jannik Sinner<\/a>] has to make him defend, put him under pressure,\u201d said Ljubicic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no need to let [Carlos] Alcaraz get too excited because he\u2019s shown that, when he takes control of the game, he does what he wants.
