{"id":174756,"date":"2025-08-25T16:27:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T16:27:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/174756\/"},"modified":"2025-08-25T16:27:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T16:27:14","slug":"beats-for-good-dfw-high-school-music-contest-opens-for-do-good-fest-at-levitt-pavilion-arlington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/174756\/","title":{"rendered":"Beats for Good: DFW High School Music Contest Opens for Do Good Fest at Levitt Pavilion Arlington"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ADDISON, Texas (Aug. 25, 2025)\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0National Life Group is accepting submissions until\u00a0<strong>September 14\u00a0<\/strong>from high school-aged musicians in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to compete in Beats for Good for a chance to perform at its annual benefit concert and earn money for high school music programs.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dogoodfest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Life Group Do Good Fest\u00ae<\/a>\u00a0presents a \u201890s throwback benefit concert featuring Collective Soul, along with Tonic and Fastball live at Levitt Pavilion Arlington on Saturday, Oct. 18.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dogoodfest.com\/beatsforgoodtx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Beats for Good<\/a>\u00a0is open to any current high school student in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This contest is open to musical acts of all sizes and genres, acoustic or electric. The grand prize winner will open Do Good Fest and receive a\u00a0<strong>$5,000 donation<\/strong>\u00a0to their school\u2019s music program as well as a $1,500 personal cash prize. First and second runners-up will receive $2,500 and $1,000 respectively for their school\u2019s music program.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a>All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/tafb.org\/?gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=22310947369&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjw5JXFBhCrARIsAL1ckPsInkjHUxKpn4ZeAHklWVxl4-xlK5hGNH0mFe-4SJ2cvRguVcyIhZAaAtduEALw_wcB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tarrant Area Food Bank<\/a>\u00a0to feed kids in North Texas, a focus of National Life\u2019s \u201cDo good, Be good and Make good\u201d values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beats for Good<\/strong>\u00a0entries should include a link to a performance no longer than five minutes. Once the submission period closes on September 14, a panel of local music professionals and educators will review the submissions and choose their favorites. Top videos will then be shared online for public voting\u00a0Sept. 26 \u2013 Oct. 3.
