watchOS 26 is the next major Apple Watch software update, and today beta 8 was released to developers ahead of the expected public launch next month.<\/p>\n

watchOS 26 coming soon for all users, here\u2019s what to expect from beta 8<\/p>\n

Next month, Apple is expected to ship at least two new Apple Watch models, and possibly a third, along with brand new software for all users.<\/p>\n

Apple Watch Ultra 3<\/a> and Apple Watch Series 11<\/a> are launching soon, with a new Apple Watch SE likely too.<\/p>\n

But whether you upgrade to new hardware or not, watchOS 26 will bring a variety of new software features to a wide assortment of compatible Apple Watch models<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Highlights include the Liquid Glass redesign<\/a>, new Notes app<\/a>, upgraded Control Center<\/a>, and several AI features<\/a>.<\/p>\n

watchOS 26 has been in beta testing for two and a half months, and today\u2019s beta 8 should be the most stable version of the software yet.<\/p>\n

It will likely also be the final beta until the watchOS 26 RC (release candidate) debuts.<\/p>\n

That RC version is expected to ship following Apple\u2019s big September event<\/a>. That will be the day new Watch models and the iPhone 17 lineup<\/a> are unveiled.<\/p>\n
