\n\tEXCLUSIVE:<\/strong> Annette Bening<\/a> has joined the leading cast of the Paramount+ Yellowstone<\/a> Beth and Rip spinoff series, which now has a working title, The Dutton Ranch<\/a>. She will star opposite Kelly Reilly,\u00a0Cole Hauser and Finn Little, who will reprise their original roles. Additionally, Chad Feehan (Lawmen: Bass Reeves) will serve as showrunner of the offshoot.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Dutton Ranch, home to Beth Dutton (Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Hauser), is a testament to the peace they sought, fought for, and nearly died for, as they\u2019ve come to cherish their 7,000-acre land. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter (Little) becomes the man he\u2019s supposed to be.<\/p>\n

\n\tBening will play Beulah Jackson, the powerful, cunning and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs Deadline revealed in December<\/a>, the show is expected to remain on the same present-day timeline as the original series, with the new offshoot sharing the most DNA with the mothership of any show in the universe to date.<\/p>\n

\n\tYellowstone followed the Dutton family that controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Reilly\u2019s Beth is John Dutton III\u2019s (Kevin Costner) daughter, a former head of acquisitions at the Schwartz & Meyer financial firm. Hauser\u2019s jaded ranch foreman Rip, who first came to John Dutton as a young boy on the run after killing his stepfather to protect his mother, learned how to be a cowboy from John, who treated him like a son.<\/p>\n

\n\tYellowstone\u00a0was co-created by Sheridan and John Linson, who executive produce with Art Linson, Costner, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, Stephen Kay, Michael Friedman, Christina Voros and Keith Cox. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe\u00a0Yellowstone\u00a0Universe also includes prequels\u00a01883\u00a0and\u00a01923,\u00a0both of which have concluded their runs. Two other upcoming offshoots join the Beth and Rip series on the slate:\u00a0The Madison\u00a0for Paramount+, led by Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn, and\u00a0Y: Marshals\u00a0for CBS, led by Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton. Additional universe entries\u00a01944\u00a0and\u00a06666\u00a0previously were announced as being in development.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, The Dutton Ranch is executive produced by Sheridan, Glasser, the Linsons, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Yari, Friedman, Feehan, Voros, Reilly, Hauser and Cox.<\/p>\n

\n\tBening is a BAFTA and Golden Globe winner with multiple Oscar, Tony and Emmy nominations under her belt. She received Oscar noms for the films The Grifters (1990), American Beauty (1999), Being Julia (2004), The Kids Are Alright (2010) and the Netflix biopic Nyad (2023). Her Emmy nomination was for her work as the titular character in the TV movie Mrs. Harris (2005). On stage, Bening was last seen alongside Tracy Letts in the Broadway revival of Arthur Miller\u2019s All My Sons, which earned her a Tony nomination.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe will next be seen in the Apple TV+ limited series Lucky, working opposite Anya Taylor-Joy. Previously, Bening starred in and executive produced the Peacock limited series\u00a0Apples Never Fall. On the big screen, she will next star in The Bride, Maggie Gyllenhaal\u2019s Frankenstein movie.<\/p>\n
