Ethereum surged to an ATH at $4,953 before pulling back to around $4,626 at press time. The retracement followed a sharp sell-off after bulls briefly pushed prices near $4,960.<\/p>\n

On the hourly chart, the RSI slipped to 33, showing oversold conditions. The OBV dropped to 1.23 million \u2014 weakening buying pressure.<\/p>\n

Looking at the bigger picture, the five-year ETH-USD chart shows a clean breakout above its 2021 peak. After years of sideways consolidation, Ethereum<\/a> has vaulted into price discovery.<\/p>\n

Analyst Miles Deutscher put it bluntly, <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cBTC is exhausted, ETH isn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What he meant is that Bitcoin\u2019s recent rallies have stalled near resistance, while Ethereum has pushed into price discovery with fresh highs and stronger follow-through.<\/p>\n

Traders often see that kind of relative strength as a cue to rotate capital.<\/p>\n

Others are zeroing in on exchange reserves.<\/p>\n
