Forbes Magazine released its annual Best Employers by State<\/b><\/a> list and a business that serves the military got top honors in Florida.<\/p>\n

The business magazine ranked Navy Federal Credit Union as the Best Employer in Florida. The Virginia-based credit union was ranked the No. 4 employer in Virginia.<\/p>\n

Forbes worked with Statista<\/b><\/a>, a market research firm, to finalize the list. They reached out to over 160,000 employees who work for companies with at least 500 employees.<\/p>\n

The respondents were asked how likely they would recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10. <\/p>\n

The employees also were asked about their previous employers within the past two years and if they would recommend them as well.<\/p>\n

Here are the top 25 employers in Florida, according to Forbes.<\/p>\n

  10. Fidelity Investments<\/li>\n
  11. NASA<\/li>\n
  12. New York Life<\/li>\n
  13. Costco Wholesale<\/li>\n
  14. State Farm<\/li>\n
  15. Michaels Stores<\/li>\n
  16. Honeywell International<\/li>\n
  17. Apple<\/li>\n
  18. Nike<\/li>\n
  19. Marriott International<\/li>\n
  20. Progressive<\/li>\n
  21. D.R. Horton<\/li>\n
  22. Lockheed Martin<\/li>\n
  23. IBM<\/li>\n
  24. Jupiter Medical Center<\/li>\n
  25. Verizon Communications<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Other notable Jacksonville-based companies that made the top 100 include Florida Blue, CSX Transportation, Florida State College at Jacksonville, and Fidelity National Information (FIS).<\/p>\n
