stabbed to death on Peach Drive.<\/a><\/p>\nThe Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office says just after 3 p.m. on Saturday, officers were called to the neighborhood in Jacksonville’s Southside, where they found a woman in her 50s suffering from stab wounds outside a home. She was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Milton Brooks, who has lived in the neighborhood for more than 30 years, says the crime is unsettling.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy main concern is just that they catch the people that done this, that’s the main concern,\u201d said Brooks.<\/p>\n
He told First Coast News he was shocked to learn what happened just blocks from his home.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it was a shooting at first, but then I heard that it was a stabbing,\u201d said Brooks.<\/p>\n
Neighbors say sections of the street were blocked off for hours Saturday as investigators combed the area \u2014 something they say is unusual for this quiet part of town.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been peaceful for a long time, it\u2019s just disheartening when you hear something like this,\u201d \u00a0said Brooks.<\/p>\n
According to JSO, four people have been detained for questioning, but no arrests have been made.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Brooks tells First Coast News his heart is with the victim\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so sorry that this happened to them and I pray to God for the whole family that they get this guy and our guys and put them in jail where they belong,\u201d said Brooks.<\/p>\n
