{"id":1753,"date":"2025-06-21T07:39:08","date_gmt":"2025-06-21T07:39:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1753\/"},"modified":"2025-06-21T07:39:08","modified_gmt":"2025-06-21T07:39:08","slug":"glastonbury-festival-get-to-experience-nature-through-vr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1753\/","title":{"rendered":"Glastonbury Festival get to experience nature through VR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said the VR headsets would immerse festival goers in environments including forests, mountains and lakes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said: &#8220;Pain is inherently a psychological construct.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;If we can immerse people in nature what we&#8217;ve found is that this can actually reduce the amount of pain people experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">While &#8220;real nature is always going to be the gold standard&#8221;, he added, VR can deliver &#8220;some of these beneficial therapeutic effects of nature at home&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The immersive experience is part of Brainwaves and Birdsong, a public engagement initiative by a team of scientists, mural artists, music composers and wildlife documentary makers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The project is funded through the Chronic Pain Neurotechnology Network.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Glastonbury Festival is set to run from 25 to 29 June at Worthy Farm in Somerset.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"He said the VR headsets would immerse festival goers in environments including forests, mountains and lakes.
