She\u2019s since published the second and third books in the series, \u201cIron Flame\u201d and \u201cOnyx Storm.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"article-body__text article-body--padding color_dgray m-none\">The books have been New York Times best-sellers, each selling millions of copies. The series follows a young woman who trains to become a dragon rider ready for war. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article-body__text article-body--padding color_dgray m-none\">Yarros <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DNyR9BdQl6n\/?igsh=MWdvb282M2FuOXlqNw%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">announced on Instagram<\/a> that she will be part of this year\u2019s Portland Book Festival held by Literary Arts on Saturday, Nov. 8.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-body__text article-body--padding color_dgray m-none\">\u201cI\u2019ve never done an event in Portland before and I\u2019m SO excited to get to see some of you Pacific Northwesterners!\u201d Yarros wrote in the post. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article-body__text article-body--padding color_dgray m-none\">Yarros said her appearance will be an on-stage conversation, but guests should not expect a book signing because of the venue size. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article-body__text article-body--padding color_dgray m-none\">Yarros pre-empted details about the event, including its location, by posting Monday. Tickets for the event, as well as the full author lineup of the Portland Book Festival, <a href=\"https:\/\/aftontickets.com\/event\/buyticket\/3px8ep61x1\/portland-book-festival-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">will be available online at 10 a.m. Tuesday.<\/a> The Portland Book Festival is the same week that former Vice President Kamala Harris will be in the city for her book tour, also at an event hosted by Literary Arts.
