SAN ANTONIO – A suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a 14-year-old boy has died three days after shooting himself in the head.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that 20-year-old Caesar Tijerina had died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

According to various sources, 20-year-old Caesar Tijerina was on the run and hiding out in Laredo when police started closing in on his location.<\/p>\n

Loredo Police then responded to calls for an attempted suicide call around 4 a.m. on Friday near the corner of Palmito and Soria Drive in Laredo.<\/p>\n

When police arrived, Tijerina was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was placed on life support and transported to University Hospital in San Antonio, where he died on Monday.<\/p>\n

This stems from four months ago, when on April 16, 14-year-old Simon Cuevas was followed by five suspects, who began attacking him, before a suspect fired a gunshot into his stomach, killing him.<\/p>\n

Police have accused 18-year-old Fernando of being the one who pulled out the gun and fired the fatal shot.<\/p>\n
